Baby Oddball

When it comes to play time, Mom and Dad can never predict what will strike Rebekah's fancy. Lately, Rebekah has taken to hanging out underneath Andrew's swing, which she doesn't even use anymore.

Upon closer inspection, Mom and Dad discovered that the back of the seat is covered in tags, which Rebekah loves to play with on any item.

Aside from tags, Rebekah is also a big fan of the remote control. To give her a work out, Dad will put up couch pillow obstacles and try to make her work for her prized possession. Sometimes she doesn't always quite succeed:

Mmmmm...remote control.

Mom and Dad are curious to find out which item Rebekah will next find fascinating.

Hanging with Aaron

Rebekah visited her pal Aaron today. She hasn't seen him in a while so he greeted her with a hug.

Rebekah felt right at home and got right to work playing with his toys. She even took it upon herself to use his cup.

Aaron very graciously demonstrated to Rebekah how to use his cool big kid toys.

Overall, Rebekah had a blast trying out all of the fun new stuff and seeing Aaron.

Rat Race

Rebekah dropped by Mom's office today. Mom and Dad have told her that she needs to start pulling her own weight soon so she asked for a preview of the 9 to 5 lifestyle. She gave Mom's chair a spin and scoped out Mom's laptop. As you can see, she obviously found life in a cubicle very exciting:

Spring Forward

Rebekah has seen the temperature rise about 60 degrees in the course of one week. With the arrival of the warmer temperatures this weekend, she headed outside today to hang out in the neighborhood.

She was a real wiggler and hard to hold or even photograph.

Back inside, Rebekah played with some really fancy toys - a colander and wooden spoons.

Here she is totally disgusted by something (or possibly right after one of the hundred times she hit herself in the face with a spoon).

Time for a nap.

A Good Ol' Time

Rebekah made a new friend today - Ferris, who is a few months older than Rebekah. Rebekah was excited to meet another girl since all of her other pals are boys.

At first, the girls checked to be sure that the other baby was parent-approved.

After a taste test, Ferris & Rebekah bonded.

Soon, the two were scampering around like troublemakers.

The two of them had some great conversations. It turns out that they have a lot in common, like very few teeth and totally bossy parents.

By the end of the afternoon, you would have never known that these gals had just met.

Rebekah can't wait until her next hangout session with Ferris.
