Kogod Courtyard

Last Sunday, Rebekah spent part of her afternoon at one of the cooler DC museum hangouts - the Reynolds Center's Kogod Courtyard. Regardless of the weather, Rebekah can run and jump around in the courtyard and then wander around and check out the art collections.

Howdy, everyone! Rebekah has been having a great 2011.

In between Rebekah's busy schedule of pretending to drink coffee, asking Mom for five bucks, and dancing to The Wiggles, Rebekah attended Riley's third birthday party today. Rebekah was just as excited about eating cake as she was about seeing Riley. Riley had made cupcakes and had a table set up for everyone to decorate their own cupcakes.

Merry Christmas!

While Rebekah didn't completely understand what was going on today, she knew it was good when she saw all of her presents awaiting her this morning.

Mom asked Rebekah, "What is today?"
She said, "Ummmm...Halloween?"
Mom said, "Nooo...what is today?"
She said, "Ummmm...Friday?"

Well, it was neither of those days. It was Christmas and Rebekah started off the day with quite a haul. Here she is checking out her new barn set:

While Rebekah will surely enjoy all of her presents, Mom and Dad hope that Rebekah learns that today is not about receiving gifts but about appreciating your friends, family, and everything else that you already have in life. Merry Christmas!
