Baby Rebekah Bjorn

Rebekah loves hanging out in her Baby Bjorn. She has finally moved up in the world and is now facing forward, which helps her in her quest to study everyone's faces. Today we went into DC and planned to take some pictures of her but Rebekah just kept napping. Here is Rebekah snoozing in her Baby Bjorn, first on Mom and then on Dad:

Pretending to Have a Ball

Even though Rebekah doesn't yet laugh, that doesn't stop her from trying.

Ambassador Rebekah

Rebekah advanced American relations by making a new friend this past weekend - The Aussie, a.k.a. Gabe. Gabe stopped by to teach Rebekah all about Oz, which included playing the didgeridoo, making her a bottle of Vegemite milk, and showing her pictures of his pet 'roo. Here's Rebekah telling Gabe to have a g'day and come back to the U.S. again soon:

Charm City

Rebekah visited Baltimore today. The highlight of her trip was visiting the Baltimore Museum of Industry, which featured an exhibit on the HBO show The Wire. Here is Rebekah doing her best Commissioner Burrell impression on the set:

She is definitely going to make it to Hollywood.

Out and About

Rebekah had a busy week. Last Saturday, Uncle Gerry and Aunt Bobbi drove up from Newport News to meet her. Unfortunately, as they were leaving, Rebekah decided to crank it up so we didn't take any pictures.
Rebekah also did some local sightseeing this week. We traveled downtown to the National Mall and visited one of the Smithsonian buildings for a Muppets exhibit (Jim Henson's Fantastic World). Photography was not allowed so we had to settle for a picture outside at the fountain in the National Gallery of Art's Sculpture Garden.
Today, we went down the street to Brookside Gardens. Here is Rebekah taking it all in on a butterfly bench:

After she got home, she practiced making all of her new faces and sounds:

Too bad she couldn't have been in this good of a mood when her aunt and uncle were ready to take pictures.
