Tummy Time

Mom took Rebekah by the office today. However, Rebekah wasn't ready for the corporate world and she threw a fit...so no pictures. It wouldn't have worked out anyway - she refused to even put on a pair of pants or shoes. Very unprofessional.

As you can see, Rebekah is more interested in working out - lifting her head, doing push-ups, and kicking her legs - than working for The Man. We hear that she is possibly vying for a spot in the 2028 Olympics. Maybe by then she will be interested in wearing clothes.

Totally exhausted:

Rosetta Stone

After knowing Rebekah for several weeks now, we can now decipher some of her moods. We captured some of them on camera so that everyone can decode Rebekah.

The first face that we learned - cranky Rebekah:

Here is an easy one - tired Rebekah:

Shocked Rebekah (reserved for when Mom and Dad are watching The Wire):

Serious, contemplative Rebekah:
And finally, even though she doesn't yet smile, she managed to squeeze out a fake one for her blog fans:

One Month

Rebekah turned one month old today. She made some videos to showcase her cuteness and talents. Listen in as she gives you the rundown on her struggle to master crawling.

In the following video, she does her spot-on impression of a pterodactyl.

She also celebrated by going across the street to a free outdoor concert, which featured a guy selling a CD called "The Funk, The Whole Funk, and Nothin' but the Funk." Apparently, Rebekah was not impressed by The Funk because she slept through his performance. Mom and Dad were not impressed either but, since the chaos and excitement of being outdoors puts her to sleep, we are always willing to oblige.

The Real Bath

After experiencing some agonizing sponge baths, we were sure that moving Rebekah on to the next level - The Real Bath - would haunt all of us for the rest of our lives. We were astonished to discover that, not only did Rebekah not mind the bath, but she seemed to almost fall asleep in there.

(As you can see, Rebekah asked that we respect her privacy and dignity.)

Maybe soaking in that warm water made her feel like she was back home again.

Afterwards, Rebekah maxed and relaxed in her hooded towel.

Playtime with Andrew

Although Rebekah attracts plenty of attention from strangers on the street, she hadn't made any young friends until now. Rebekah finally made a new, age-appropriate pal - Andrew, who is visiting the area from Norfolk and was willing to share his widsom on how to be a successful one year old. She learned the ins and outs of laughing, eating solid foods, surviving life with teeth, and crawling. Andrew thought that Rebekah was kind of boring and was more impressed by the remote controls sitting by the TV.
