Since Rebekah was born, she has loved to go outside and explore. Once she gets out there, she transforms from a loud and goofy gal to a serious and curious student of the world. Regardless of how hard strangers try to amuse her, they cannot break her will.
Here she is today striking up her usual outdoors demeanor on a stroll around town:

Big Shot
Rebekah stood up straight on her own today. Lately, she has been pulling herself up but keeping it to low heights and practically bending over in a 90 degree angle. After standing tall this afternoon, she was beaming with pride and really thought that she was something else...
...until she realized that she didn't know how to get herself down and screamed until Dad rescued her.

Argylin' It Up
Rebekah took her first trip to the playground - Argyle Park, which is right by the hospital where was born.
Rebekah was only mildly impressed with the slide.
The swing, on the other hand, was a bit large for her...
...but right up her alley. She gave it rave reviews. (Please note the crazy, static-filled hairdo.)

Here is a short video of Rebekah on the swing:
Rebekah is really enjoying life as a big girl.

Baby Oddball
When it comes to play time, Mom and Dad can never predict what will strike Rebekah's fancy. Lately, Rebekah has taken to hanging out underneath Andrew's swing, which she doesn't even use anymore.
Upon closer inspection, Mom and Dad discovered that the back of the seat is covered in tags, which Rebekah loves to play with on any item.
Aside from tags, Rebekah is also a big fan of the remote control. To give her a work out, Dad will put up couch pillow obstacles and try to make her work for her prized possession. Sometimes she doesn't always quite succeed:
Now she's got it. Score!
Mmmmm...remote control.

Hanging with Aaron
Rebekah visited her pal Aaron today. She hasn't seen him in a while so he greeted her with a hug.
Rebekah felt right at home and got right to work playing with his toys. She even took it upon herself to use his cup.
Aaron very graciously demonstrated to Rebekah how to use his cool big kid toys.
Overall, Rebekah had a blast trying out all of the fun new stuff and seeing Aaron.

Spring Forward
Rebekah has seen the temperature rise about 60 degrees in the course of one week. With the arrival of the warmer temperatures this weekend, she headed outside today to hang out in the neighborhood.
She was a real wiggler and hard to hold or even photograph.

A Good Ol' Time
Rebekah made a new friend today - Ferris, who is a few months older than Rebekah. Rebekah was excited to meet another girl since all of her other pals are boys.
At first, the girls checked to be sure that the other baby was parent-approved.

By the end of the afternoon, you would have never known that these gals had just met.
Rebekah can't wait until her next hangout session with Ferris.
