Bow Wow Pow Wow

Rebekah had a very exciting weekend, the highlight of which was getting her new carseat. She is all about her new seat since it gives her so much more space for her little bod.

Rebekah used her carseat to hop on down to see all of the pups at the Bow Wow Pow Wow in DC. It was about 90 degrees so she didn't make too many canine friends - they were all too busy laying around exhausted.

The heat didn't seem to bother her at all. All she cared about was being outside.

On the Road Again

Rebekah had quite a weekend. She first stopped by the doctor's office on Friday for her nine month check-up. Mom and Dad were quite pleased to find out that she is doing great and Rebekah was happy to discover that she would not be getting shots at this visit.

Here are her latest stats:

* Weight = 18 lbs. 13 oz. (55th percentile), an increase of 11 lbs. 13 oz. since birth

* Height = 29 in. (90th percentile), an increase of 9 3/4 in. since birth

* Head Circumference = 17 1/2 in. (55th percentile), an increase of 4 1/8 in. since birth

After her check-up, Rebekah immediately hopped in the car and cruised down to Norfolk to see Andrew.

Andrew took Rebekah, or - as he likes to call her - "Backpack," out to eat when she got there. They had a lot of catching up to do.

On Saturday, Rebekah visited the Virginia Zoo, which is just down the street from Andrew. Rebekah was very excited for her first trip to the zoo.

Andrew has been there many times so he played it cool....

...and gave Backpack his personal, guided tour.

Rebekah liked all of the animals...

although some of the bigger ones were quite shocking.

Later in the afternoon, Morris joined the crew.

Being the youngest, Rebekah generally stayed out of the way and studied the boys.

It is very surprising that there is actually a picture with all three of them in it at the same time.

Rebekah/Backpack is already counting down the days until her next trip!

Good Times with Great-Grandma

Rebekah visited Great-Grandma Hutcherson for her 81st birthday this past Wednesday. Rebekah was very sweet but she may have just been scheming to get her hands on those balloons.

Rebekah hopes that there are many more birthdays to come!

Silver Spring Swing

After Mom got home from work today, Rebekah took a tour of the nearby parks so that she could get her swing on.

Rebekah is very happy that there are at least three parks within walking distance of home.

Ferris's Big Day

Rebekah attended her pal Ferris's first birthday party today.

Unlike their last meeting, Ferris was terrified of Rebekah and stayed to herself.

Rebekah was very outgoing and tried to befriend everyone - both babies and adults.

Here is her new buddy, Riley, trying to share a duck with an oblivious Rebekah.

Rebekah was most likely distracted by the enchanting balloons.

Rebekah hopes that she and Ferris will be on more friendly terms the next time that they meet. However, she loved the party and is looking forward to many more!
