Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade
On Saturday, Rebekah attended the 12th annual Montgomery County Thanksgiving Parade, which is held right outside her door in downtown Silver Spring. Although Mom and Dad didn't blog about it last year, Rebekah attended the 2008 parade in freezing temperatures. Rebekah found this year's parade to be much more enjoyable now that she is a curious toddler and not an infant wrapped like a mummy. She was in awe of all of the sights and sounds - marching bands, dance groups, trained dogs, and huge helium balloons passing overhead.
All she needs now is her feast on Thursday to make her Thanksgiving complete.

What You Talkin' 'Bout?
Mom and Dad are starting to think that Rebekah is somehow catching reruns of Diff'rent Strokes. Now whenever she gets perplexed, Rebekah has been giving everyone her best Arnold Jackson impression.

Library Time
Rebekah loves to visit the library. She has become a big fan of books, particularly ones featuring animals ("cats"). Rebekah recently stopped by the Silver Spring Library. When she wasn't kissing the "cat"...
... or eating the toys,
she was pulling all of the books off of the shelves and looking for her next read.

CAT
Rebekah's favorite word is "cat." And a "cat" is not just a cat, but any animal in general. To top it off, her impression of every animal's sound is just her panting. Here she is at a recent open house at the Washington Animal Rescue League, astounded by the sight of a "cat" and panting her brains out:
Astute readers will remember that Rebekah attended last year's annual WARL fall open house. This year, Rebekah is well aware that it will soon be cold. Here is another picture of Rebekah, enjoying a nice fall day in the park and hoping that it stays warm for just a little longer:
