Memorial Day Fun with Fabienne

Rebekah spent her first Memorial Day doing some grilling and hanging out with her canine friend, Fabienne.

Rebekah was pretty hysterical - screaming in her face, climbing on her, and pulling her fur. Here is her typical reaction upon seeing Fabienne:

Amazingly enough, Fabienne did not have a nervous breakdown.

Chillin' Out

With the temperatures rising this Memorial Day weekend, Rebekah headed across the street to the Silver Plaza Fountain to cool down. She was content with just sitting at the edge and observing the action and did not even try to venture in with all of the big kids.

A few of the children tried to befriend Rebekah and play with her.

The boy below pretended to be interested in Rebekah but was actually more interested in the camera. He demanded to have his picture taken and then subsequently snatched the camera and ran off. Mom had to chase him down.

Despite her encounter with that little hooligan, Rebekah is eager to return for more fountain fun this summer!

Tub Time

Rebekah has discovered that one of the advantages of growing up is graduating to the real bath tub. Just like when she was smaller and used her baby tub, Rebekah loves her bath time. Here she is tonight having a blast:

Lunch Break

Rebekah met up with Andrew today for a brief lunch in Virginia. Andrew has a busy schedule this weekend but he managed to squeeze in a visit with Rebekah.

Rebekah and Andrew made plans to meet up again in a few weeks for his second birthday. Rebekah can't wait to party.

Rainy Day Play

Rebekah cannot believe the amount of rain that we have received lately. She has been making the most of her indoor time though. Whether playing with Ferris...

...or her favorite feline pal,

...she is always a happy girl.

(On a side note, Rebekah has become increasingly anti-pants. Do not be alarmed if you encounter Rebekah de-pantsing herself.)

Spooky Saturday

Rebekah visited Rock Creek Cemetery, the oldest cemetery in DC, today. Sure, it sounds a little creepy for a baby to tour a graveyard but she seemed to enjoy the scenery.

Afterward, Rebekah came home and engaged in some very serious play time.
